Mantjolo Agri Academy
The Mantjolo Agri Academy runs accredited learnerships in agriculture and basic business management principles.
This training teaches beneficiaries the basic skills to plant, harvest, sell, and manage their businesses. This creates self-employment opportunities, food security, and attracts beneficiaries back to the farm. This leads to economic development and brings more people into the formal economy.
The project includes a demonstration field for practical application of theoretical knowledge and a 1-hectare vegetable plot.
Summary of Impact
The Mantjolo Agri-Academy will directly assist the need for education, food security, and income
generation while contributing to the local economy.
There will be five direct beneficiaries and an estimated fifteen indirect beneficiaries (family members)
per year.
The Mantjolo Agri-Academy will also contribute to attracting beneficiary members back to their
homeland and building a resilient community.
